BEHIND THE BRAND

Graes is deeply personal to me. The name comes straight from my daughter Maya Grae’s middle name, it’s more than just a word; it’s a reminder of the values that matter most in my life: family, responsibility, and taking real pride in what you create.

Maya has this favourite song that always speaks to me quietly. It’s about home, comfort, and those small, thoughtful details that make a space feel truly safe and lived in: “A house we can build, every room inside is filled with things from far away,
each one there to make you smile, on a rainy day.”

Those lines capture exactly what I wanted Graes Home to be about: homes shaped with care, layered with real meaning, filled with pieces chosen not just for how they look, but for how they make you feel.

Maya’s own personality is gentle, thoughtful, quietly confident and it mirrors the character I’ve built into the brand. It’s present without being excessive, considered without complication.

Naming Graes after my daughter set the bar high from day one. Every single piece has to carry the same level of care, integrity, and intention I’d want in anything that bears her name.

Whether that’s our plush velvet accent chairs, luxurious boucle occasional chairs, enduring dining tables, or bedroom furniture, everything has been created for real, lived-in comfort. 

Looking ahead, Graes Home exists to help create spaces that feel grounded, personal, and refined. My ambition has never been to be the loudest brand out there, but to become the most trusted one, known for thoughtful design, and premium home furniture made to be lived with endless options from statement accent chairs, to contemporary dining furniture, ottoman beds for that hotel feel, right at home and console tables for that statement entryway, you'll find everything to make your house a home at Graes.
